Sex Therapy

Because your sexual health is important, and it’s hard for most of us to talk about it.

How You Can Benefit From Sex Therapy

Most of us were not taught how to talk about our sexual health and our sexual desires in general, let alone with a romantic partner. Our Sex Ed in this country hasn’t historically been accurate, sex positive, or empowering. Many of us were not given the tools for how to talk about our bodies, our sexual selves, and how to advocate for our pleasure.

We are often given a “one size fits all” approach to our sexual health with little room for exploration or individuality. We all have a unique sexual voice, and often times shame, fear, trauma, or stigma creates a barrier to communicate that voice. In sex therapy, we discuss what you’d like your sexual life to look like and create a treatment that feels authentic and empowering to your unique needs.

“We know by now that there’s no such thing as normal—or rather, that we’re all normal. We’re all made of the same parts as everyone else, organized in a unique way. No two alike.”

— Emily Nagoski, Come As You Are
